Awesome female characters

<< < (5/5)

jaybug:
Suzumiya Haruhi, because she is god!

I'm kind of liking Demon Lord/Demon Queen from Maoh Yuu Yuusha. Body and brains! oH, and a plan! She doesn't wear make up on her face, because she can make up her mind!

Scudworth:
Seras Victoria from Hellsing Ultimate.
Not the TV series, only the OVA's

SeventyX7:
There are plenty of awesome heroines in manga!  Here's my picks with pics!

Everyone always talks about Yuno from Mirai Nikki but I found Uryuu Minene to be a far superior character.

She started out as a static one-dimensional villain but wound up becoming the most fleshed out, multi-dimensional character in the entire series.

She's a reckless terrorist devoid of hope for a future, an master escape artist, and a blushing maiden with the hope of finding love all at the same time.

Speaking of yandere - Hanabusa Otome from Karakasa no Saien was amazing.

A serial killing yandere who genuinely falls in love with all her victims finds the perfect mate in the protagonist who fully regenerates every day.  The only people less fortunate than the man she falls in love with are the women she perceives in her way...

With her rich family backing her and her surprisingly skillful use of scalpels, she's one of the most badass yandere's I've seen in a serialized work.

My next pick is Alyosha.  I can't believe an anime hasn't been created of this one yet.  There's a great plot about the girl raised as the world's greatest assassin for [some country that is definitely not Russia!!!! lololol] who is at a complete loss at how to live a normal life when the government falls apart.

Her genuine attempts at making friends and trying to protect a normal life endear the character, while her ruthless violence and unparalleled skill at murder make her one of the deadliest heroines I'll be putting on this list.

Of course no list of awesome heroines would be complete without the hilariously violent Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-chan

Years before Simon ever tried to pierce through the heavens with his drill, Asahina Samidare of Hoshi no Samidare tried to destroy the world with her own fists.

Born with a genetic defect, Asahina was doomed to live in hospitals until her early death as a young adult when fate intervened and granted her immense vitality and strength for the purpose of saving the world.  This power, however, was only temporary.  After saving the world she would lose it and her illness would return and she would still die young regardless of whether or not she saved the world.

After accepting Asahina quickly realized her true desires - to use her newfound strength to destroy the world herself after saving it.

Asahina's tragic fate and the path she chose to walk - which set her at odds with all of her friends - made her one of the strongest heroines I've seen, and not just in terms of physical power.

The last heroine I want to mention isn't awesome in that she's a powerful woman or a badass.  One of the most awesome heroines is no doubt Yotsuba.  I can't think of any better way to explain this than with images.   :P

I haven't read the manga's you post, but yeah, Uryuu Minene definitely is a badass character.  Forgot to mention her.
