I don't know if it's my client (Tixati 1.96) or if this is normal. I believe it only happens with torrents on BakaBT or perhaps private trackers in general. I haven't noticed this happen with torrents from nyaa or TPB...
Anyways, what happens is, let's say I have the files and I tell my client where the files are and it starts "checking" the files. While the files are being checked, it connects to peers and then for some reason it starts downloading even though I have 100% all the files... so for example, I have all the Bleach manga, but while it was checking the files it also somehow downloaded 37 MB and dropped my ratio slightly. Not that I'm really worried about a small ratio drop, I'd just rather it drop legitimately rather than on files I already have lol.
I guess my question would be: Is this normal or is this a problem with Tixati?
You have to set the the local files location one level above your actual manga folder. For example:
If the torrent file you're using creates a folder called "allbleachmanga," and you set the local files location to "c:\manga," Tixati will create that new folder in c:\manga\allbleachmanga
The picture below demonstrates this idea better:
http://www.ghacks.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/load-torrents.jpgAt the top of the image is the folder name, which is customizable to whatever you want. Change that to the folder name where your bleach manga is stored, then set the Local Files Location to the folder above it.
Then, instead of pressing "Start," press "Stop." Then, right click on the newly listed torrent, select "Local Files," then select "Force Check." Once this is done checking your folder for the required files, then start the torrent to begin seeding.
I hope I explained that ok.
