Buffalo Airstation Torrent client blacklisted?
« on: August 04, 2013, 02:49:16 PM »
So im trying to use my Airstation , and It doesnt seem to work. Ive had this happen when i used  utorrent for linux and it was because it was blacklisted. I have no real info in the client the airstation uses on the back end ,and have no way to get more information. Is there any way to confirm this?

BTW it works with other torrents. just not bakabt's

Only a few clients are actually blacklisted - clients that will never be whitelisted. I don't believe whatever you're using is blacklisted nor whitelisted. If you want your client whitelisted, look for the thread titled something like "suggest new clients to add to the whitelist here." Make sure you look for your client in the thread before you request it.

The Airstation's client is probably proprietary and product-specific, which means that you'd probably have a hard time getting it whitelisted.

Besides everybody whines about the client used, the only use for a NAS with torrents is running 24/7.
Performance sucks for private torrents (IMHO), because it's 'tweaked' for LEECHING.
Which is fine with public-torrents, but not with private torrents in general.
