mobos can take the stress, you're underestimating them.
in either case NH-D14 weighting at 1240grams isn't even the heaviest, Thermalright TRUE 120 Copper weighting at 1900grams even without the fans is the heaviest so far.

not to mention countless users have been using D14 for about 2years now, its rather rare to even see any horror stories about them snapping their boards into two.

There is no difference spec wise, Actually I heard the Ripjaws x are optimized to the 1155 socket so should be the same to the 1150 socket.
