Why the switch in ram?

i'm guessing price/specs ratio is better on this one.

There is no difference spec wise, Actually I heard the Ripjaws x are optimized to the 1155 socket so should be the same to the 1150 socket.

Either the Sniper or the blue version of G.Skill. Anyways, the RAM there is what I'll be getting. For price/performance over the 1866Mhz models, it's worth it. Only 20 USD difference. The question is how tall is the Sniper version.

The height wont really matter, already covered this. Besides you are aware that to run it at it's clocked speed you will have to enter it manually.

Everything goes through the CPU and haswell has native 1866mhz it will run pretty much anything your parts can handle 2400mhz but just because they say that doesn't mean you automatically plug it in and get 2400mhz you have to set everything up in the BIOs.

kitamesume:
^thats what he meant, he also already knows the quirks in setting up the ram.

its a toss between Kraken X40 or D14.
its +$30 with H100i for about ~2c cooler than X40, unless you find that worth it.
