Deluge not seeding

I'm rather new to torrenting, and have realised that deluge does not seem to seed at all. My settings are at unlimited, and I still don't understand why I can't leech or seed.
I'd like to fix my ratio because it's really terrible, and I really don't want to get banned. Could someone please help.

125 seeders to 9 leechers.

If we imagine that this torrent is a street, and all the seeders own a cake shop on this street. So that means there are 125 cake shops selling the exact same cakes, and 9 people walking down the street wanting to buy cakes. How likely are they to buy a cake from your cake shop?

I'm assuming not very. So how would I go about increasing my ratio by seeding? Just find a torrent without seeders and leechers?

If you really want a decent ratio, seed for long, select your torrents carefully, get free-leech torrents for stuff that you anyway want to watch, etc.
