Freeleech not so free?
(1/1)
dannch:
I first start downloading an anime and stop at 240mb of 4.74gb realizing that I have to get a good ratio and I hadn't uploaded anything because it was my first torrent from the page. I started downloading freeleech torrent to get it up. But when I come back I see that I not only have 240mb in download, it was 1.17 GB. So I start looking what could be the cause. In the forum some persons had a problem with freeleech, but those where new torrent, but the freeleech that I downloaded have more than a year at least (2 of them have 3 months and one 2 months, the rest got 1, 2 or 3 years).
I read something about a glitch but that is was solved. Those this mean it's back, or only I have the problem?
Edit: I use windows 7 and bittorrent.

Hmm, that is quite strange. I went to look at your tracker page and indeed, you have 1.17GB downloaded when in fact the only non-freeleech torrent you downloaded was the Sukitte torrent.
The problem you have is probably due to the following torrents:
(click to show/hide)
They do have the freeleech symbol but as seen in the pic, you've actually downloaded something.
If I were to hazard a guess at something, I would think that Artbooks have some sort of glitch as the general criteria for Freeleech is for it to be under 100MB/Artbook/Music Vid/1080p.
Sorry I could only provide a bit more info on what could be the problem, some other advice though, downloading those freeleech torrents aren't likely to help you increase your ratio much as they're probably low-traffic torrents.
In fact, I would think that downloading your Sukitte Ii na yo torrent would have been better as it has higher traffic and therefore more opportunities to seed. (Don't worry about your ratio getting a hit for a bit, warnings only kick in at 25GB download or higher)
dannch:
Thanks.
I already downloaded those completely, just have to keep them for seed and follow you advice to download a higher traffic. :D
Freedom Kira:
It's possible to have download recorded for freeleech if the download happened before the torrent registered as freeleech. Typically this can only happen if the torrent was downloaded before the freeleech rules were put in effect a couple years ago or if the torrent was started within the first hour or so of being on the tracker.
Southrop:
It's obvious that neither of those cases are true for this situation. I think it could have been that it takes a bit of time for the tracker to "activate" freeleech for newly created users, but I have no proof for this.
