Identifying a rip

How do I find out if a file I've downloaded from outside of BakaBT is a rip from somewhere like CR? This may very well be simple question and I am going through the wiki but so far I can't find anything that addresses this

Southrop:
Check the group that did it (and potentially their website)
Check if there is a TV station logo at any point in the video

cold_hell:
AniDB should recognize it. If the file is not butchered it should have the same hash at least
