One day, Yume sees a mysterious red butterfly and her body undergoes a strange metamorphosis—into a creature that eats humans. Utsutsu struggles to find a way to restore his sister

That trailer was slightly more annoying than I expected.

My interest was piqued when it was announced. These two just might have the best brother-sister relationship ever (even if it is rather painful for him).

I've heard they're having trouble getting TV stations to air it, hence why it's taking so long. Not sure if that's true, but they do seem to be taking their sweet little time giving us an airdate.

I'll wait for official confirmation (preferably on the official site, or any network brave enough to air it), as I take news from seventhstyle with a grain of salt, and any subsequent reports may very well be copies from each other.

If it turns our to be true, I'd find that quite a shame, but I'd have to live with it, then.

I'm still interested in watching this, nonetheless.

New PV is out: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2013-11-22/pupa-horror-anime-2nd-promo-confirms-january-9-debut

January 9 on Tokyo MX and a day later on NicoNico.

No word on the show's length (both in # of episodes and episode length), but for now, I'm assuming the 5-minute claim is false.

So, anyone has any idea as to why this thing just keeps getting delayed more and more?

If this show is as gory as I think it is, the fact they're airing it on Tokyo-MX makes me think this will be heavily censored. And the NicoNico broadcast is crappy quality, so we might have to wait for the Blu-Rays if we stand any chance of an uncensored version. But, we'll see.

As for why it got delayed, we'll probably never know. It's not like this is the first show to feature a lot of blood and gore. After all, Higurashi was aired at some time, and that also had a lot of stuff that even some adults might find cringe-worthy.
