Please help: Error: Files missing from job. Please recheck
(1/1)
libo270:
I have quite a few torrents saying this, making me unable to seed or download.
Also there is one torrent that says Error: Access denied. (Write to disk.)
I prior moved some of my torrents from my hard drive to my portable drive, i believe this could be the cause.
So how do i solve these problems?
Big Teeth:
Assuming uTorrent (because of the errormessage), in the filelist, Control-A (that's 'mark all'),
then rightmousebutton, advanced, set downloadlocation.
[repeat]
Browse to the new location, select folder, ok.
Accept the message about overwriting stuff (when you are sure there is nothing in the old folder).
[/repeat]
When done, start all torrents.
Hoping you don't have tons of torrents to do :)
When you know what you can do with NTFS, you can mount the external drive into the OLD folder your stuff was in. But because 'average Joe' has no clue about filemanagement, this would no real easy solution, probably.
Write errors are bad, and usually happen when you use the external drive for downloading.
Better download to your internal drive and let uTorrent move the stuff to the proper place when a download has finished.
Although this can cause other problems, depending on your equipment/situation.

Hi, tried what you said by going to one torrent, clicked set download location, went to where the files are, clicked select folder but nothing happened after that.
Big Teeth:
Assuming 'average Joe': when the old folder was D:\Download and E:\BakaBTexternal is the new folder with your stuff, you select E:\BakaBTexternal, not E:\BakaBTexternal\whatevertorrentcontent.
You should be more in detail, then we don't need to speculate, making things easier for everyone.
When you had used uTorrent to move the content in the first place, you would not have re-allocation problems in the first place (assuming uTorrent not older dan version 2.2.x).
Freedom Kira:
The access denied issue can likely be fixed with a restart. If not, you'll have to check your file permissions.
As for what Big Teeth is trying to explain, if it doesn't make sense, read this post.
