All bakabt torrents are red on utorrent
Krudda:
As Motoko11 explained why clients are whitelisted, I notice no explanation of what whitelist is. A whitelist is basically the opposite of a blacklist.
A blacklist is a list of things NOT allowed for something, example a list of people not allowed in America, they will be refused access at airports.
In the case of BakaBT and whitelisted torrent clients, because there are FAR too many clients and more cropping up everyday, it is simpler to create a list of "allowed" clients, rather than disallowing each and every single new one that appears.
In other words, a whitelist, is a list of what can be used/is allowed. Anything not on that list, is ignored/denied permission to do it's purpose.
Bozobub:
More specifically, the blacklisted clients will never, ever be allowed. Clients that are merely not whitelisted potentially will be, in the future.

Thanks everyone that helped a lot :) I'm just going to wait until the new version of utorrent gets whitelisted, assuming it will lol

That's generally not recommended, given the many issues that even the whitelisted versions of the newest uTorrent have with BakaBT's tracker. It'll eventually get whitelisted, yes, but your client will just auto-update again when the next one comes out, which will put you in the dark for a few weeks yet again.
Just downgrade and don't touch it again. 1.8.5 and 2.2.1 are the top most recommended versions here. BitTorrent started screwing with the program way too much starting in 3.x, so you see all kinds of problems that shouldn't even be issues to begin with. 1.8.5 generally sees better performance than 2.2.1 but this depends largely on your connection and hardware.

That's correct, but only on BakaBT. AFAIK, it's as Krudda said for most other applications.

I got the same problem as the guy that send the first post but I dont know how to downgrade Utorrent. Is it only by downloading a older version? I seriously have no clue when looking in the options. Can someone guide me on what to do to downgrade it?
