can someone give me a 'summary' of bakemonogatari?

Hey guys,

So I watched bakemonogatari when it was first released and it was one of the VERY few (like 4 or 5) non-action based anime's that I liked...

Now I'm planning on watching the sequel (Nisemonogatari) but have like almost forgotten what happened in the original series.

So can someone link me to an overall 'summary' someone has written (or possibly give me one) of what happened in the original series (i.e Bakemonogatari) so I can watch the sequel...

For this purpose, I almost always use wikipedia and its "List of [Insert series here] episodes". It summarizes each episode in a few sentences, covering the most important events but not going too far into detail. Revising an old series takes only a few minutes this way.

As for Bakemonogatari, here's the page. Note that in this case the sequels' episodes are summarized below the Bakemonogatari episodes so make sure you stop reading after you've taken a look at those unless you want to be spoiled.

And yes, someone might have actually written a better synopsis but for me it's just easier to type the "list of x episodes" into google without thinking too much and I will always get the synopses in the first search result.
