(1/1)

Hi ! Im new at bakaBT and yes I have read the Wiki and still a lil bit confuse, so Im here to ask if is it legit if after I downloaded a file and seed it, is it legit to download that file once again on a different computer/device but same internet connection ? The deal is, I want to have good ratio even if I just start BakaBT and me and my cousins uses only 1 wifi/internet connection so is it possible to make my ratio up if I seed and he download/leech it without logging in my account ? (I read that it is NOT recommend to have 2 accounts) Tho we are using the same internet connection but different device and all of our flashdrives are broken so yea I dont want to waste my money just to buy an 8 gig Flashdrive  :-| So is letting him download it manually legit ? Im just like, advertising files ;D , so is it good ?

THANKS IN ADVANCE ! :)
Sorry for my English.

You can't seed the same torrent in two locations at the same time.
You are welcome to seed something else, elsewhere though.

However I can't see the point in this case if you are using the same internet connection, it won't be any faster.
I advise you not to login to your account using your cousins PC.

Then by doing that it's possible to make my ratio up ? We don't have much problem at internet speed tho.
Anyways thanks for the fast reply !  :)

Imagine your internet connection is a pie, and you divide it in two to share... You'll see you don't gain any more pie, so you won't actually get a faster result in improving your ratio.

Just seed a good selection of torrents and it will improve with time.

Krudda:
In addition to the "pie" quote, you can actually imagine a slight decrease in speeds as having two clients open will create a small amount of overhead, thus decreasing your maximum potential speed. Having two clients going at the same time creates twice as much.

I learnt this the hard way when I used to run utorrent for one hundred torrents, and bittorrent for the other hundred or so. It's not worth it.
