Torrent don't start downloading only from BakaBT

Hello there,

I've have a issue that it seem that other people may had or still have, when I try to download ANYTHING only from BakaBT  utorrent don't start the download and show me instead that it "searching for seeders" (I have it on other language but I assume that in English it say the same thing)

I don't live on US or EU and my IPS don't seem to block anything (I think) moreover before I formatted my pc I used the same utorrent version and was able to download from BBT.

now my pc is recently formatted and have the last UT build and I'm able to download from any other sites (even pirate sites such as TPB) without issue.

I don't really understand a lot on uttorent and have no clue why I can't only download stuff from you guys... what can I do to fix it? : (

I heard that some people said to roll back to ancient versions of UT... but I don't really want to since really older versions don't support Linux OS and don't let you get seed from Linux users

BakaBT has a whitelist.  If your bittorrent client is not on the whitelist, you won't be downloading from BakaBT.  It's that simple.

Linux has zillions of bittorent clients, so I'm not sure where you ever got the idea you can't seed across operating systems.

So they block all new version of uttorent?

why? : (  what last version done to them that they decided to block it?  last version (even uTorrent 3.3.1 which they allowing) have a lot of bugs that uttorent keep fix with newer updates

I don't auto update but rather update from my own free will, and so many users, will it hurt them to be less strict only when it come to uttorent because it seem to be the most popular client app that most people use

it pretty much mean that many users can't download from BBT from now on or seed for them till they will support newer versions of uttorents (which doesn't seem to happen any time soon)

I know they may have a good reason for filter apps but I really can't think of it at anything else but a joke, sure uttorent got way buggy and useless on it newer versions but it still usable and many people use it. to start blocking/allowing each version one by one can really hurt the number of downloaders/seeders they have,  I don't really want to go back to other utternt versions just because of one site (or one of many rare sites) who block it.... and I believe that it the same for other people, shearing/ downloading was once easy thing.... over the years we got ton of annoying things that made shearing/ downloading a nightmare, and now seeing how bakabt is less utorrent supportive... don't have good feel to it at all

That's precisely the point.  Utorrent is buggy, so BakaBT doesn't want it messing up their site until it's proven stable.

You know, you can also use other torrent clients that will work with BakaBT and every torrent site you use.  Nothing's stopping you.

Changing torrent clients is relatively painless.  It really isn't hard.

Learn to adjust.  That's life.
