hmm.... magi the labyrinth of magic finished in 2013? I kinda thought it was 2012...

Valvrave was indeed great but I want to know how it plays out in the second season before deciding on it.

Anyway, magi just kicked out AoT for me in the top three.

I'll big up Shinsekai Yori up as well even if it crosses over both years, I never see many people talk about it anywhere but it's one of the best anime of recent years.

I dunno, AoT or Kill La Kill I guess. Theres quite a lot I haven't watched from this year yet...nothing much ever looked appealing enough to watch while it was airing.

It's a pretty close call for me. I'm really enjoying Kill la Kill and Log Horizon, but I also thought Shingeki was excellent.

The Accelerator vs clones arc through Misaka's eyes... brilliant.

Problem is, everything else about it sucks.

I dunno, I quite like it in general. Different tastes and all, y'know.

Gonna hop on the SnK/AoT train here. The soundtrack was incredible, the art was fantastic and unreserved about being gore-y, the atmosphere was excellent, and the characters weren't totally cliche. I absolutely love characters like Mikasa who are level-headed, intelligent, somewhat reserved, and aren't moe-blobs.

The only show I have watched of the fall/winter lineup is NouCome since I don't watch airing shows, so I haven't considered those.

Seems I CAN have an opinion in this thread after all.

I enjoyed Railgun S quite a bit.

Sure there are one or two 'filler' episodes, but there were also two story arcs covered, one being the "Accelerator vs Clones" as mentioned by TiYlER, plus the "Artificial Girl" arc, which I enjoyed watching, the final few episodes in that arc were quite good.

So, I guess you can chalk up another vote for Railgun S.

The World God Only Knows is worth the watch, the main male character is unlike any other I've seen so far, the way he goes about things is...... different.

I'm not sure what I watched this year, or what came out...  But I found AoT (SnK) to be a huge let down.  Felt very unfullfilling.

And if GitS Arise counts... I pick that.

Extremely disappointing year for me. There are only 2 anime I'll remember in the long run and those are Kill La Kill and Uchouten Kazoku. Among movies there is Kotonoha no Niwa.

Of course I'll remember Shingeki no Kyojin too, but only because of what a waste of immense potential it was, and as an example of how not to adapt a manga.

Seems like Shingeki no Kyojin is the best anime of the year for many, myself included. Well this pretty much looks like my top 10 anime of 2013 so far:

1 - Shingeki no Kyojin
2 - Toaru Kagaku no Railgun S
3 - Kimi no Iru Machi
4 - Suisei no Gargantia
5 - Chihayafuru (Season 2)
6 - Mondaiji-tachi ga Isekai kara Kuru Sou Desu yo
7 - Ore no Imouto (Season 2)
8 - Da Capo III
9 - The World God Only Knows - Goddesses Arc
10- Bakuman (Season 3)

NOTE1: List might change since I haven't seen most of the new anime series that just finished airing are about to finish airing like Kill la Kill, Arpeggio of Blue Steel, Sekai de Ichiban Tsuyoku Naritai, etc. For ~12-26 episode series, I always wait until they're fully aired because I prefer to watch all episodes one after another.

NOTE2: Not counting anime that aired in 2013 but started airing in 2012 or previous years, like Fairy Tail, Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo, Robotics;Notes, Naruto Shippuuden, One Piece, etc. I only counted the animes series that started airing in 2013.

Saras, I never do. . .that's why it took so many recommendations and people saying it was a great Anime ect for me to finally watch it. . .AOTY? mayhaps as I said, but will post my comment on the Anime
