Copyright on Detective Conan
« on: December 24, 2013, 03:06:55 PM »
Detective Conan is copyright protected by Funimation.
But on the site http://www.funimation.com/case-closed only show Episodes: 130 (season 1-5) and Movies: 1-6 are protected by Funimation.
Then why not offered torrent for season 6 to onwards???
Is there all season are copyright protected by Funimation???

If memory serves, Funimation wasn't going to renew the Conan license, but I defer to the BakaBT mods for further clarification.

Same with One Piece, but I think BakaBT is just being cautious as not to draw Funimation's attention needlessly. Worst comes to worst, we'll be forced to remove more content since thier spotlight will be on BakaBT.

But why they forced to remove content if they do not hold the copyright for it??

One Piece's license won't run out for a loooooooooooong while.  That much is 100% certain.

They aren't forced, it's just risky to deal in content they know a major C&D source is already invested in.

You mean that they gone copyright on season 6 and another???
And if not then why not offered of torrent for season 6 and onwards??
They only have copyright on season 1-5 then what is the risk for another season??
And there is really some kind of the risk then what about another movie aren't they invested in movies??
