Am I somewhat spoiled? (A Certain Scientific Railgun)

(1/2) > >>

ybriK:
So my friend gave me A Certain Scientific Railgun season 1 & 2. I recently started watching it and almost halfway season 1, until I took a break to look it up on the net to realize that this was a side story. I got confused a lot on the wikipedia page as it seems that there are 3 different A Certain titles: Index, Railgun and Accelerator. What is the chronological order because it feels like dejavu with the monogatari series when I started watching it and am I spoiled for the main story (index)?

jevitsj:
You can watch Railgun without watching Index, but then you don't know some of the characters of Index.
I've watched Index first then Railgun then Railgun OVA then Index 2 and then Railgun S.
And finally the movie.

Here is a relation graph between the series:

Thank you for the graph, it helps a lot! What about Accelerator where does that fit into all of this?

jevitsj:
I don't believe there is an upcoming anime of Toaru Kagaku no Accelerator which is a manga and another side story set after Index 1.

Ah I see, ok then I'll just watch everything on Railgun then move onto the main story.
