Make some of your own series, no one is OBLIGATED to even if it is 1000 percent profitable. Anime studios do what they want, * looks at you Kyoto Animation. (Seriously wtf why is there a Tamako Market movie?)

Do you even realise what you just said?

At that point of the thread, I realized I wasn't going to change anyones mind about Otaku. Miyazaki is entitled to his own opinion. If he doesn't like where it is, he can make his own anime, he certainly has the means to (The "you" was referring to Miyazaki, but could mean anyone really). Japan is not communist so people can do what they want in business.

I added the Tamako Market bit to try and lighten up the mood. Even though I think it will do horribly and that Kyoto Animation has better things to do, you don't see me hating it. Nope, instead of hating it, I shall ignore it.

SchoolDays, you did well. Miyazaki is only but a fucking human being with his own opinions. He's no different than us.

And there's nothing else to say. I'll just leave this here:

Maybe if the so-called silent majority of normals didn't think this way, the shows might actually make money.

Say that when

1. your dad wastes all your money on gambling

2. your parents are racist bastards

There is something wrong when i live in japan yet i only own one japanese otaku product, and that was from a freak accident and then i lost it.

Trust me i wanted to donate to the time of eve kickstarter really badly but i only got my paypal account after the fact.

And to reconstruct how bad the shut-in problem in japan is, my dad who rivals a PHD professor is now a shut-in cause the stress outside was simply too much. Meaning i have to see his ugly face 24/7.

Instead of overworking and getting a stroke most people just take part time jobs, become shut-ins and simply fade out of existence, this leads to the people holding the pillars of society together getting overworked and sometimes even camping at work.

The overall problem at hand is that this otaku-symptom isn't going away because nobody wants it to change, every time i step out the door i feel like i'm going to war outside with the useless amount of shit that i have to calculate in my brain just to cross the street, if i had to put this phenomena into perspective it is like everyone is tvtropes savvy and they are playing useless mind games on the street just to trip you up. To cut down the bullshit i keep my outside travels to a minimum, almost nonexistent.

The only time you'd consider going out is when a festival is starting and everyone is too busy having fun to pay attention to you.
