People like or dislike what they will, end of story, and they aren't "wrong" because they do so. No one is "wrong" for disliking, say, beets (ugh), a specific color, or what-have-you; that's an incredibly silly thing to imply. Individual taste, by its very definition, has nothing to do with right and wrong.
Someone stating reasons they don't like a given thing that YOU like, or like something YOU despise is not a personal attack, nor are you likely to change their view simply by stating they're wrong. You may be able to persuade them, but that will require an actual, reasoned argument, not personal insistence, and is also quite likely to fail. Just deal with it, if so, and recognize that your tastes are your own, especially for something as idiosyncratic to American culture as anime/manga.

Makes about as much telling people that they should watch an anime they didn't like "more closely", don't you think?
The 'true facts' thing was sarcasm. You'd catch it if you knew me from a different part of the forums where I remind people far too often that they should treat their statements subjectively and not objectively.

Your statement had nothing in it to imply it was sarcasm, and was furthermore a flat statement about your opinion; I'll apologize, but you should take into account that most people won't search for your posts in other threads/forums before responding - lol...

Um I couldn't give less of shit what people think of my post on a forum and you shouldn't feel you have anything to apologize for.
But here's a thought: if I had said something you happened to agree with, possibly praising one of your favorite anime, and appended it with 'True facts', that probably wouldn't have provoked your short outburst from earlier.
Just trying to say that there's something in this thread that has immensely annoyed me: the fact that numerous people have focused more on defending anime criticized in this thread, rather than being constructive and making recommendations.
