Author Topic: [Help] Ratio and Stats Problems (Read 115936 times)

My ratio is having issues as well. Just this week, i had set my downloads to download and splurged a bit, resulting in a large drop in my ratio. After waking up today in the morning and seeing this, i set my torrents that i had finished downloading to seed and turned my downloads off completely. However, the ratio and arrows and meters all aren't reacting to any change. I've tried to lock and relock my IP, which is static and i have confirmed that they are the same. I use uTorrent with the DHT disabled, and i simply don't want to get banned because my uploading is not getting detected by the tracker. Can someone please let me know if theres any way to fix this?

I've been seeding and leeching a lot lately but I recently noticed that my profile only has 16 seeding and 6 leeching but I am no longer seeding/leeching the files. The profile hasn't changed in over 2 days. I know this isn't an issue with giving out my pass key since I don't share my torrent files or account and I only download on 1 computer.
I've already checked all my torrents to check that they have my passkey and I've even regenerated on and redownloaded the torrents but that hasn't changed what's in my profile. Nothing new is being logged. What can I do?

Correct me if I am wrong (System Admins) but some torrents might stay on your profile for a few days. I believe they will drop off of the list after a few day of no activity. That is just how the system is. It does it to me too.

I'm seeing an announce 2 minutes ago .. I think it's working fine.

It should not do that.
When you stop your client it will send a -stop- signal to the tracker, that will remove the torrent from your profile page but if for some reason the -stop- signal is not sent it wont be removed until the tracker assumes you're gone.

A lot of the time I will turn my computer off mid-download (and it successfully sends the stop signal to the tracker), but when I load up the torrent again, my profile page lists my download as much higher than I've done in that session. Likewise, some torrents that I seed will show my uploaded stats as being several GB within the last few minutes - one of my torrents also says I've downloaded a few MB in that session too, which is completely untrue.

I *think* it's not affecting my ratio, but why is the tracker experiencing something like a memory effect from the previous few sessions?

Unlike before the transfer data is now stored over sessions.

i've been uploading cowboy bebop (niizk) and gg code geass- lelouch of the rebellion season 1 for a few days, but for some reason only that code geass shows up in my profile. i've disabled dht, resubmitted profile a few a times and even deleted my cookies, yet nothing seems to work. My ratio is ok, though. it shows that i've uploaded about 6gbs of something, while i've only uploaded some 2gbs of code geass. I'm using bitcomet as my torrent client.

Make sure you download the torrent file when you're logged in.

After reading the faq one more time, i switched my client to utorrent and everything works just fine now.

I've uploaded about 300GB (Code Geass season 1, mostly) more than Boxtorrents has me down for. I don't really care about that, although I'd like my ratio to reflect reality. I think the problem is that I have one computer ( a server ) that sits in my dorm, and another laptop that I do most of my work on. The 300+ upload was done on my server, but I believe that Box might have switched IP addresses on me when I went home over a weekend.

Would this explain it? I mean, 300GB is quite a bit of data to have lost in the series of tubes...

Box no longer uses IP addresses specifically to track stats. With the key system that would not be the problem. Make sure the key, is the key that belongs with your account and not a public key. Check your profile for your key. Also make sure the tracker for the torrent is boxtorrents only and not coupled with other trackers. If you got it directly from boxtorrents than it should be fine.

OK. The .torrent file was pretty old, so I guess that may have been the problem. I'll re-download the .torrent and start re-seeding when I get my computers put back together.

Heya

There seems to be something wrong with my tracker information

up or download dont seem to be increasing and the current upload and download sections aint updating
Im currently seeding http://www.boxtorrents.com/details.php/131461/V-A_Saikano_Saishuuheiki_Kanojo.html yet its not shown
and I have 5 old torrent showing as active despite not seeding them for 8-14 days'

Would be nice it it could be fixed so I could see my real ratio

Thanks for removing the stale information but you didnt really solve the underlying issue

My stats still dont update and I think I know why if you look at LINK and examen the seeder/leacher list you'll see a IP address where my username were suppose to be. Im not sure is this is related to the new torrent thing but my IP (the one Im using now) dont seem to be linked to my username anymore

Im using TorrentFlux on my server so Im not sure is this is caused by the torrent id tags not working when started on a diffrent IP and/or computer than they were downloaded from

Also why cant I see my active IP's on the profile page anymore ?

Download the torrent files when you are logged in, else you will get a public key.

This should be pretty simple. I'm trying to troubleshoot as to why my stats don't seem to be updating, but my torrents are. the one question I have right now is, where can I find the "Lock IP" option in my profile? I must be blind cause I can't seem to find it. Thanks for any help.

If your torrents update your stats update, given a short delay (~5 minutes). There is no more Lock IP option, everything is done with keys now.

Hi, I just joined not too long ago. I have three active torrents, all with DHT disabled (and DHT disabled in utorrent too). They show up in my profile, but transferred amount (up and down) has remained at 0. Any idea what might be causing this?
