Cant believe Samurai X Reflection has not been mentioned, the ending is the only anime that made me tear up a little, I don't know why, maybe because Kenshin has such a long in depth archive regarding his life?.Other sad anime are ClannadAfter Story, Saikano and Haibane Renmei.

(click to show/hide)It built up a world, but didn't make much use of it. Kinda hated the girl who smoked. She said the only reason she protected her was for her self gain. Seemed like a tense SOL with an extremely open ending.
