Tiffany's Murder Game - Round Six: Serial Killers on Baka World
jinhong91:
And I wake up, missing some stuff again. What bad timing.
--- Quote from: SeventyX7 on March 30, 2014, 09:44:06 PM ---For those wondering - yes, I am abstaining from voting the first day.
There is a greater than 90% chance your vote will result in an innocent person dying. It reminds me of one of the vaults in Fallout 3 where people blindly follow a machine telling them they MUST sacrifice one of them every so often to maintain population - when it was all just an elaborate test to see if they would actually comply or stand up and do otherwise.
Anyways - I have a pretty good idea who one of the killers is from the posts so far. If I survive the first night I'll explain before the next bandwagon starts and if not maybe I'll leave behind a "journal" of sort with my theory.
See you after the first vote. ;)

Are you implying that you are the detective? The rules said that only Detectives have the ability to abstain from voting and get protection from that day's killing/lynching.
--- Quote from: Tiffanys on March 30, 2014, 09:45:09 PM ---Soooooo, uh... In a slight oversight... you guys might have to wait a lot more than 2 hours for the news to be posted since the detective originally wanted to watch Krudda and then their backup target happened to be one of the serial killers... and now I have to wait to find out what they do...
I should really start asking for more than just backup targets... I should start asking what to do in crazy situations like this. >_<

I saw this coming in the earlier posts. Rules are good for the game and all but you should have a plan should they overlap each other.
I did have experience with rules overriding/overlapping each other while I was spending my 2 years in conscription. *Shudders* All that red tape and follow up.

Day 2
Scene 1
Tiffany: Good evening. I'm Tiffany Awesome, and this is what's happening in your world tonight:
Tiffany: The first Baka World Council's discussion concluded earlier today resulting in Krudda being dragged off into a prison cell who was reportedly screaming "I'm innocent! I'm innocent!"
Tiffany: Moments later witnesses reportedly said that he was wailing like a child and sniffling "G-Give my stuff to Dex_Belle! I-I love you Dex! B-Baka!"
Tiffany: We'll be right back after this.

Excited Voice: Do you like popsicles?
Excited Voice: We REALLY like popsicles.
Excited Voice: Try the new EXTREME Blueberry RAGE!
Excited Voice: It's like a blue explosion inside your mouth!
Normal Voice: Available everywhere March 30th.
(click to show/hide)Scene 3
Tiffany: Alien abductions continued last night, making authorities increasingly concerned about the alien menace.
Tiffany: A stranger in a truck pulled into town in the middle of the night.
Tiffany: Unfortunately, the stranger was shortly thereafter seen being abducted by aliens.
Tiffany: Witnesses said the stranger had pink hair and a unicorn horn. Police are still looking for leads.
(click to show/hide)Scene 4
Tiffany: And there was another set of serial killings last night. This time, there was no gundam figurine or adhesive gel to save their victims.
Tiffany: That was especially true for 1000mAh was found dead this morning in a pool of his own blood with a knife firmly planted in his chest.
Tiffany: Authorities believe it was the work of an entirely different serial killer than the one that made an attempt on his life yesterday. Though, they do think that they must have gotten a new pair of shoes.
Tiffany: Meomix also fell victim to a serial killer last night.
(click to show/hide)Scene 5
Tiffany: In what must seem like an incredibly embarrassing situation for Krudda, Dex_Belle was apprehended last night as a result of the ongoing investigation into the serial killings plaguing Baka World.
Tiffany: It appears a detective was investigating Dex_Belle last night and witnessed them sneaking into Meomix's home along with the gruesome events that followed.
Tiffany: Local law enforcement raided Dex_Belle's home earlier this morning collecting troves of murder trophies, along with Krudda's belongings which are expected to be sent to evidence.
Tiffany: The police chief assured me that Baka World's police force is dedicated to apprehending these criminals and that they will be brought to justice.
Tiffany: Dex_Belle's execution is scheduled for later this week.
So what the heck happened?
(click to show/hide)Krudda was detained by the council's vote. Chiyachan was abducted by aliens.
1000mAh was murdered. Meomix was murdered. A detective was watching Dex_Belle who was a serial killer. Police raided Dex_Belle's home earlier this morning and he is now behind bars.

As a minor rule change that I'm wanting to try for Day 2 no public tallies of votes will be allowed. You can keep track on your own, but don't post tallies in the thread. I'm trying this out to see if I can make it a bit harder to bandwagon and encourage a bit more voting based on other factors than just who has the most votes. Depending on how this goes I may either extend it or remove it or expand upon it.
jinhong91:
Damn, that's 4 people gone in a day. Though we did catch the serial killer in the act.
megido-rev.M:
Didn't know alien abductions were a game mechanic in this.
SeventyX7:
*Steps forward from the shadows*
Very interesting that Dex Belle was one of the killers - he was the second most likely suspect by my calculations.
Anyways, I didn't participate on the first day because there was no point to. There was no evidence yet; only mindless bandwagoning based on nothing.
Moving forward, here is my proposal for how we should act on day 2:
we should vote to kill jay21stm next.
Here is why:
(click to show/hide)What does day 1 activity have to do with being the killer? You might think that being quiet would be the best way to protect yourself and "not draw attention." This is a logical mistake for two reasons.
(1. Being the killer is the most fun. I was a killer in the last game and I posted far more than most innocent people - especially on day one. The reason why is simple enough - it's fun to be the traitor in the mist of the pack of sheep and to try to manipulate them to your own goal.
(2. Getting us to kill each other helps the killer win the game. It is not only fun for the killer but helps him achieve his win condition - all of us dead.
(click to show/hide)Look back through the thread - though he mainly stuck to the bandwagon on Krudda and jinhong91, he encouraged us to suspect nearly everyone else in the game. He is obviously sowing the seeds of discord for future votes - so we can always have a reason to suspect someone since everyone has been mentioned at least once on day 1.
(click to show/hide)jay21stm was by far the most active on the first day - posting a wopping 46 times on the first 14 pages.
The next highest were Krudda with only 26 by comparison and jinhong91 with 21. Since those were the two who had to defend themselves from the bandwagon that is expected.
Interestingly enough, the next highest after the two who were bandwagon'd against was Dex Belle - the other killer.
Even if my analysis winds up being coincidental in the end it still maps out the most prudent action for us to take now. In the absence of any other evidence we should resolve doubts about jay21stm now by voting him out immediately.
Obviously, I cast my vote for jay21stm.
