It would actually make some sense if it was the shapeshifter, since the description given in news, blue skin and red hair, nicely fits with the image of shapeshifter tiff provided on the first page. But is that possible? Doesn't demon have to do something too?

Just a question, if u'd be the vigilante, why would you use 1 of your bullets in the first round ?
You can't possibly know that person is a killer.
Unless :
Vigilante used his / her bullet randomly , and got a good kill. Maybe he/she will be busy next days or don't want to play, he/she
will come and just jump the wagon and vote at the nights while keeping last bullet to defense.

IMO the demon possessed the assassin to kill meomix. I doubt tiff would've activated the assassin so early in the game. (With one killer down though, she might've activated him on purpose^^)
