This is meant to be a
friendly warning and reminder to new users: when tempted to request a new client, please be polite and respectful to BakaBT staff/admin, and do your research beforehand! And if you are thinking about requesting the whitelisting of uTorrent 3.3.2+:
Don't. Just don't.Let me direct you to some links which hopefully will clear up why client requests are the way they are:
Main links: http://forums.bakabt.me/index.php?topic=19469.0 and
http://forums.bakabt.me/index.php?topic=19305.msg4947229#msg4947229 <-- these two threads are where the problem largely started. The 1st one is 76 pages long or so (depending on your posts-per-page setting), but take note of the very 1st post, where it says,
Duki3003 edit: All new uTorrent 3.x stable releases will be delayed for a few weeks (usually 2) until the client proves stable, please avoid requesting it over and over again - it will not get it whitelisted faster!
Users who fail to follow this will receive up to 30 day warnings on their accounts
This edit was NOT present for the entire life of the thread, but if you read enough posts, you'll see exactly why it was placed there. Then read the second link, especially the last page (where it jumps to when clicking).
Basically, the staff/admin here on BakaBT are sick of hearing about/dealing with the client and arguments over it. Arguing with them over this is
not a particularly good idea; uTorrent's currently whitelisted versions won't be helped by more drama over newer versions

.
Some examples of what to do, if you still wish to request/discuss a specific client (that isn't uTorrent!):http://forums.bakabt.me/index.php?topic=41242.0http://forums.bakabt.me/index.php?topic=41310.0http://forums.bakabt.me/index.php?topic=41195.0http://forums.bakabt.me/index.php?topic=41089.0http://forums.bakabt.me/index.php?topic=40993.0And so on. Now, not all of the above requests were successful, but they also did NOT garner their posters 30-day warnings (or even rude responses)! Common features are at least basic research/justification for whitelisting the new candidate, plus a reasonably polite request. You don't have to kiss ass, mind you, just please don't be rude; it can only end badly, I promise.
Here's some examples of how NOT to request/discuss a client:http://forums.bakabt.me/index.php?topic=41361.0http://forums.bakabt.me/index.php?topic=41073.0http://forums.bakabt.me/index.php?topic=41021.0http://forums.bakabt.me/index.php?topic=40919.0http://forums.bakabt.me/index.php?topic=40478.20 <-- Some of the responses, not the post by OP, were the problem here.
And so on. I think the differences are pretty damn stark.

Remember, folks, that while the people who maintain and run BakaBT for all of our benefit (for free!) generally have only the best intentions and wishes towards the community, it is
not a democracy! That said, if you don't blow off the site rules or make it embarrassingly clear you've never read the
Wiki, you'll only have good times here.
