After looking at the map I think there is a possibility we will hit a dead end if we go south again, although we also could by going east. But I think trying east today would be best because if we do hit a dead end we are only out a day and then when we get down to what I am expecting to be circle "P" we should get a better look at the map. Which I think will probably let out at either the bottom or bottom right hand corner. Also working at that the map is alphabetically listed throughout I think it looks like this.

So I guess the question is does S stand for Safety? Also the question marks are because I am unsure how they connect I think either going East since "L" to "M" Could lead out if the fifth row (P,Q,R,S) of letter is like the third row (H,I,J,K) and first (A,B,C) and there is a dead end.
But there is also the possibility, that the third row (H,I,J,K) and forth row (L,M,N,O) are dead ends similar to the first and we need to head south to get to to the fifth row (P,Q,R,S) . Either way I say we go with the intent to get to S as I say that is our exit.
