^ I'm going to give it as crack at it because there is a few ways to go with the saying "real beer".
I think he means the olden day kind of beer that you would see in barrels and such. (I could be wrong)

< Another way to look at that is the beers now a days. There is actual beers:corona, budlight, and etc. Then there is light beer:smirnoff, mikes hard lemonade and etc. This is all guessing what he means.
