^ The guy I was talking to wasn't an idiot, he knew what he was doing (he even knew what tracert was), he found out that there was a blocker set somewhere in the modem and had supposedly fixed it.

^^ No, the blocker that was set up on the cable modem could only be changed by Comcast, I tried making that work for like 2 hours and nothing worked so I just gave in.
