Why so many india now?

we're breeding...

Breed some more programmers & QA analysts who are capable of independent thought so I don't have to hold their hands research & solve their problems so much.  Sorry, just some work-related bitching...  I'd love to be able to hand over a project to our Indian testers and say, "Have at it, guys.  I'm confident you can research the problem based on the information we've been given, determine the appropriate amount of testing to do, catch any bugs the programmers missed, AND see it through to the end while meeting the deadline and coming in at or under budget on the estimated hours."

Problem is, I never get all of these things on the same project, and I need this on EVERY project.   >:(

Shashikant Phadnis, an Indian-born researcher, discovered sucralose in 1976 after he was told to test a chlorinated sugar compound. He misunderstood, and instead he tasted it. The result: the powerful sweet taste of probably the safest artificial sweetener currently known to mankind. The morale of the story: good things can happen when an Indian misunderstand English. :D

In my line of work, when Indians misunderstand English, it usually costs a client or a consumer money, directly or indirectly, and it usually results in more work for me.

OK, I promise I won't go off-topic anymore here.  I don't have a picture handy to contribute to the thread, though.

Burk might, but I don't. Enlighten me.
I think he meant Japanese-looking Asian. Indians are easy to distinguish from them.

BWT, Pingry-ni is Japanese.

Are slavs considered Asian?

I've always wondered, what with the seemingly arbitrary Euro-Asian continental split.

no, because the split is more a cultural/racial one originally. Slavs would, for that reason, fall under and "occidental" label. but there are certainly racialist ways of thinking that see them as borderline at best. (Hitler/German eugenics thought they were not "racially pure" enough, iirc, which was part of why the Eastern Front was so nasty).
