While I see no issue with surgical steel, I would avoid silver in the mouth.

It's basically equivalent to continuously chewing on a weak antibiotic.

Nah, I live a normal life, the metal doesn't bother me since I don't have a habit of chewing it to begin with. The worst thing is when a piece of aluminium foil is stuck to some food you are eating and that taste... arrghhh... Otherwise not a problem.
For one thing, Tiff is not on any level what I would call a typical American.  She's not what I would consider a typical person.  I don't know any other genius geneticist anime-fan martial artist marksman model-level beauties, do you?

Did I start this? O___O

Anyway, Nodame, what's wrong? I can't tell if your post was sarcastic or serious, but I'm sure no one meant to offend you if they did. Also, I went through this thread and I saw a lot of stuff I disagree with. First off Elvi, I can't speak for any other guy, but I'd definitely like a woman who was smarter and funnier than me. Any guy who would turn that down would have to be fairly full of himself, and/or arrogant—which ultimately works in favour of the woman, as she doesn't have to deal with someone like that.

Second, people say that they don't like being called cute, or hot, but if the person giving the compliment is actually speaking the truth, why not just be happy about it? I said that every woman I've seen in this thread so far had been cute, and that was my honest opinion. If I had something bad to say I would have just not posted.

Third, IMO, maturity is not "Maturity, adulthood = Getting better at lying and pretending", but rather responsibility and experience. If you are a responsible person who learns from your mistakes, in my eyes you are mature.

Lastly, if you are going to post a picture of yourself you shouldn't not expect people to say bad things. Some people are brutally honest, and when posting a picture in a thread like this you are p. much asking to be judged. I posted my picture for the sole fact that Tyler asked me to, and I was made fun of. I didn't really care though, because it's the internet and I expected something like that to happen.

Alright. I've said all that I wanted to say. Feel free to rebuttal. /End rant

My condolences.
People are just more honest under the veil of anonymity. It's dumb.

Of course you did start it. Be proud!

First: About that, it's basically what I said. And again, I used the term "boy" on purpose. In this particular area, I do believe it's a lot about age. Not maturity, but age. Of course someone will be an ass in elementary, in high shool, college, work and the all they way to grave. But that's whole different story.

Second: As long as it's fun. If you post, you have to be prepared someone will not like something, but there is no real need to get too serious and it's better to just stop, fun or not, if either party is getting visibly irritated. Since this isn't facebook and we don't have to end up hating each other for no real reson.  :P

Third: That could be a long discussion. If you are experienced and responsible, that doesn't make you mature - It makes you experienced and responsible. Maturity, is more about creating the right responses at the right moment and being able to adjust your behaviour to suit situations in society / group. I guess you could call it experience, but that just migh not be the right word. I'd say it's about self-control. And possibly lying. Of course, some people have "it" in them without masks and lies, but then again, those are usually the same people who got slapped around in school / home, which might actually explain a thing or two.

Rant no. 4 > Redirect to answer 2.

You haven't said "chew" you said "touch". Chewing spoon is rather weird, while having a short contact between tooth and spoon might not be so rare.
And foil... Imagine how everything tasted back then when most forks  and stuff was made frum aluminium  :D

I don't think it is dangerous, you prolly get more metalic particles from one dental filling over night, than from piercing over a year. But steel is steel.

Gotta agree.  Personally I tend to be drawn towards women with strong personalities.  I'd rather be with someone I consider an equal or a superior than with someone who I'd dominate.  Setting aside physical attraction (which is always going to be important -- I'm male, it's hardwired into my brain, it's not gonna change), a woman who is smart, funny, and decisive is definitely going to catch my attention.

And to Nodame or anyone else who's a bit sensitive about what gets said here -- just a piece of advice, don't let anyone on the forums get to you.  Good or bad, entertaining or not, a lot of people here just enjoy arguing or talking a lot of shit.  Don't take anything anyone says too personally.

Strong personalities, eh? Explains why I like my youngest sister more than the older one. She is intelligent, stubborn, greedy, steps over people including her parents, really good with money, evil to her core and the family member she seemingly loves the most is her older evil brother with little empathy in him. Hell, I am even writing this message from her pc, since I am the only person she allows to use it.

Hmm... unlike me she actually has more motivation to do stuff, so she will probably become the next Hitler to conquer Europe instead of me...

So I'm quite drunk, we ran out of beer and I've been drinking various spirits at a similar speed. Probably a good reason for keeping plenty of beer on hand... and my gf isn't around. So Elvikun, where abouts in the UK did you say you were? :P

(And if this was taken in the creepy stalker way I apologise, I am joking. Unless you aren't. Shit. Now I'm confused... where did my drink go?).

And keeping with the topic, here's a photo.

Oh right. Let's meet at the highest tower of Lichfield's cathedral and celabrate darwin by defiling the altars! ... Wait. What?

Actually. London.  By the way, it's wonderfull how there's the "romantic breeze brushing trough your hair" in the picture... and the romantic look too. Now we only need Hugh Grant to kiss you.

I'm not so knowledgable about altar defiling, but I was pretty sure you need mr. Grant to do it.
Not sure if Hizaki is if male or female tho. Prolly male, judging from context.

Not sure about altar defiling myself, but burning churches is a national past time in Norway, so that sounds like a great idea!

Third, IMO, maturity is not "Maturity, adulthood = Getting better at lying and pretending", but rather responsibility and experience. If you are a responsible person who learns from your mistakes, in my eyes you are mature.

I didn't read the rest of it because, well, yeah I just didn't.

Your eyes, really don't matter to the world Ozza, sorry to say. Neither to mine, mind you. Just saying.

If you really think the world is about that...well I hope yours is :)
