cut my hair because my military service starts after a month, so the shorter the hair that has to be cut, the less painful it is to cut it (emotianally)
I cut off my long hair when I got the draft 2 years ago, I didn't want to let it grow any longer, it was all the way over my shoulders then and because I didn't have beard back then, I was often mistaken as a woman.
