Guys, we really need to make School Days a sort of initiation thing, etch the BBT scriptures into the minds of the newbies 
Its already on like every single recommendation thread regardless of the genre that person wants recommendations for, so.
Im just waiting for someone to ask for a recommendation for a show to watch with their children so I can be like "School Days, bitches!"
geh, School Days. I don't know why the noobs here insist on turning it into a meme. I remember when people would recommend Neon Genesis Evangelion to everyone. Both are terrible (though for different reasons).

If you're being serious then the answer is "no." It's not a very good anime, I couldn't even get through the first few episodes (though I have seen the ending, and all the endings from the game, too). Better "required watching" animes would be:
Serial Experiments Lain,
Scrapped Princess, and
Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha (the last because Fate is <3).
