Granted, you gain what seems to be the ability to speed up or slow down time, but in actuality you gained the power to mess with celestial bodies' orbits. Since you don't know that's what you're really doing, you end up screwing up the universe's distribution of gravity, prematurely causing the Big Crunch.

I wish I didn't have a small piece of fish stuck in my molar.

Granted. Instead, you have a large piece of fish sticking out of your ear. Someone comes up to you and says, "Y'know, I can tell by looking at you that you're not eating right!"

I wish i didn't go play video games and frisbee all night and would have went to bed instead so i could wake up in 2 hours.

GRANTED, but by going to bed early you wake up and hour early then go back to sleep and wake up for the rest of the week.

granted, but i would do it with a construction grade sander, and you would be scared for life, and your left cheak would be 1/4 of an inch thiner

Granted, but since you have frozen time for ONE person, you are stuck in the time rift when you use it and thus can never make time start back up again.

granted, as an extra, the music was so space efficient that it encoded in 8 kbps mp3.

Granted, but when they transform into flac files they merge into one gigantic cue sheet that is locked and insuperable to all programs that try to split it.

Granted, but you must keep them all properly fed and sheltered, else your overlord will replace you and slowly torture you to death by chaining you to a bare futon frame and forcing you to watch the movie "Ordinary People" endlessly.
