lol but thats the time when the anime hits its hilarious note n fails brutally at times, like this one. But Naruto has always been like this its just that the huge pile up of the fillers have highlighted its slow pace even more and caused so much UNREST among everyone lol. But Naruto is a type of anime that has to be seen in pile ups well atleast 2 eps back to back if u wanna go somewhere in the plot.
Secondly there is so much to cover in Naruto, which is so much dependent on the different methods of techniques n stuffs, and so much of explanation is needed that it automatically becomes of slow pace to be watched as one ep per week. (that's my thought though)
Yea at times when ur really expecting something n nothing happens it becomes real pain in the ass but u know... I'm used to it I guess lol

Why did Gai try to punch the boulder when he knew there was a barrier there? It made no sense. He and Kakashi agreed there is a barrier there that needs to be removed first and then he goes and punches it. It was stupid. The "comedy" in the show is usually unfunny too. The show is so drawn out and serious most of the time that when they try to be funny and fail(which is usually), I wanna look away from the screen in embarrassment.

:D :D I was actually quite amused by Gai's noises >.< But I guess that's just me. I think Naruto is doing a very good job of reinventing the Naruto manga so it will fit into a TV time-slot. It may be a bit rough around the edges but I like what they're trying.
The "Gai's noises" may have not been something from the manga, but how could it have been. In television you have sound, so you can do a lot more creative things. I don't think there's anything wrong with the scene because it genuinely stays true to the loonbag kind of person Gai really is.
The syndrome that fans of Naruto's former glory fall into is taking the episodes too seriously. There was humor in beginning of the series, and has always been humor throughout it in both the manga and anime. It's easy to get offended by any attempt at humor and say that it's just filling time, but I think that it's best to just relax. This is just a TV show ya know. ;)
And I still don't understand Dattebayo's method of income... what/who exactly is paying them. What exactly compels them to try and force Pokemon down our throats. What does it do for them?
