OK so looking at all the beautifully animated shows today I have to ask, do any of you guys have any idea of why such a big show like naruto has just terrible animation?  Did all the animators they had on the first season(before fillers of course) just left for a better job or what?  Did they just fire all the quality people to milk the established franchise?

Dont think its all the animators fault . The  Quality of the file is crappy too. 170mb.avi is not HQ.

Are you talking about the actual transitioning and framerates of the episode sequences or drawing quality in general? I know it's not THE best but it's not really that bad either it seems to me.

Can you use specific examples from the latest episode 24 including exact times when it happened (Ex: at 2:37 Sakura says what's translated at "Hell yeah!" and then punches one of the iron slabs.)

And also I dunno if they can get away with milking the franchise that much. They already milked the franchise hardcore with the non-stop year and a half of fillers.

I am referring to Gai fighting Gai for example.  That is some crap quality animation.  I am not talking about the quality of the raws, why would i complain about that if it has nothing to do with animators? Am I giving the impression of being such an idiot?  That's just plain stupid.

The sakura fight is good, but look at Gai and the others fight, including Naruto running with Kakashi.  It is so obvious to me I can't believe you guys don't even notice it...

By comparison the animation on other current shows like for example, lets say, Claymore, or the recently finished death note is leaps and bounds from the current Naruto, it is not even close to the animation we got on the first 136 episodes of Naruto.

A while. I don't feel like re-watching to check. But finally it's going to be actual fighting, or so it seems. Here's hoping.

On another note, what's with the new OP/ED sequences? I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say that they're promoting the Shippuuden movie, but it may just be part of the manga that I've yet to read, or something. Shed some light, anyone?

Edit: Nevermind, finally found a trailer for the movie. Question answered.

i think episode 25 was the last straw.  i'll watch episode 26 just so I can say I watched the first season of shippuuden, but this is god dam ridiculous.  episode 25 was essentially  a big F U to anyone with an IQ above the retarded range.   it took an entire episode to move 1 minute ahead from where the previous episode ended.  i'm not even joking.    What the hell are they doing making this show into such a piece of crap?

>.< I'm so sorry you're completely right. That Gai vs Gai fight scene was so terrible that I completely blocked it out of my memory >.<

Mmmz almost done DLing ep 25 but it seems I'm just waiting for dissapointment from the comments :( And there was no manga last week to keep me positive about Naruto :(

If I start up defending the Naruto anime anymore remind me of the Gai vs Gai scene please >.<

Dear god, I knew the pacing was terrible, but I never realized just how horrible it was.

I finally got tired of waiting for the climax, and decided to check the Manga. I have now seen the light. I think I remember some guy talking in this thread about how the manga's pacing is the same, and if so, then I don't know what the hell that dude was smoking...but whatever.

Just...Argh. I almost wish I hadn't seen the manga, so that I wouldn't have totally killed this series for myself.

Most overrated, drawn out, milked series ever.  Shippuuden makes DragonBall Z look fast paced.  All Team Gai fights used horrible repeat animation.  *Left punch, Right punch, Kick*, jump to a new rock, *Left punch, Right punch, Kick*, jump to a new rock, *Left punch, Right punch, Kick*...  If their fighting pattern was really as predictable as it showed, they all would have died long ago.

Oh, and does anyone else think they are making Naruto actually stupider and more childish as the show goes on.  I was somewhat annoyed with his simpleness but it seems to be getting worse rather than better.  He was smarter five years ago than he is now (although smarter in his case is relative).

Well for me I can actually cope with the anime more since I've already read the plot in the manga a long time ago. I don't expect as much from the anime so I'm not as dissapointed :o

No, I doubt it.  So far, all their movies have followed the same repetitive formula.  Naruto and Co and recruited for a mission to help someone.  Naruto causes his client to have a life or attitude-altering experience to become a better person.  Naruto has a lame fight in which he use really old moves very ineffectively and then overcomes the evil boss with some kind of help from his client and friends.  Its really the same formula they have for the regular episodes, especially the fillers.

I am no writer and i can come up with a better plot.  Makes me wonder, who the f are they hiring for these jobs?  The incompetence is just amazing.

This is why I've abandoned all hope in both Bleach and Naruto. Stopped watching both about 1 month ago. :\
