It doesnt have to do with his intelligence about akatsuki man..........it has to do with him and the understanding of the pain system..you dont need information about akatsuki in order to understand pain's powers wake up Havoc!!!!

well, he would not even know about Pain in the first place, and if Pain attacked suddenly like they did, although Jirayia's info came late anyways, and Konoha was fairly aware that Pain would attack them soon, without intel about Pain they would be completely obliterated, without expecting it, they would fall much faster, with what he gave them they found out fairly well about his ability and could act even if it was insignificant, but without that intel, they had no chance at all, it would be WHOOP -ASSED!
but talking about "what ifs" should stop, it happened the way it did, no changing that anyway and doesn't matter anymore.

Today's episode was perhaps the best filler episode I've seen in years. The level of details that elite team can pull off is amazing. Also, nice that it wasn't something we had seen before aka last episode.
And wow, nice Taijutsu ending. It could be cool if he was fighting a different team in 5 eps or so. And did anyone else think Hajime No Ippo when they saw the opening? ;D
