Eh, every now and then. During pein invasion the whole village was demolished. What an asspull was the revival, don't get me started on that.

he did it cuz he wanted to repay for the things he did to them, Naruto convinced him that Jiraiya's dream is not that impossible, it did look like an asspull, but not that bad, also don't forget, bad guys like the glory for themselves, if not for their pride, they would even gang up against Batman, but they will never succeed cooperating cuz they al lwant the (in)fame for themselves as individuals :)

it's like setting up a bomb to blow the place up with enough time for the heroes to stop the damage :P

Pride is not an issue here. Villains in Batman are individual villains. Here, we have a specific collective, a team if you will, created for the sole purpose of retrieving bijuu and killing stuff in their path.

As far as I can tell, there's only been 2 examples of revival in this anime. 1 was the puppet soul thing. User died. Next was pain... he died.

It's not a zomfg you're so fucked~! *Orihime comes* Thank God... Wtf stop healing the enemy! sort of deal.

Also keep in mind the type of parallels that Pain's attributes are based on. The life thing is actually sort of realistic and makes sense. Unlike other animes.

"Go all out against it"

1. Kyuubi - Naruto is supposed to be HALF of what the Kyubii was when it rampaged Konoha. Naruto beat Pain. Try calculating that. Not to mention the sheer size of that original kyuubi.

2. Gaara - Compare with Naruto now.

3. Akatsuki - Konoha doesn't know where it is located. Even if it did, to send all its forces to attack it... Do you play enough rts games to understand how retarded of a strategy that is being proposed in the above line? This isn't 1v1.

3a. Akatsuki - They are good at what they do. They can infiltrate Konoha undetected. They can be in your home and you still can't find them. Pain's invasion was a good example of this. Konoha couldn't find him to launch an all out. Pain went with guerrilla tactics. If you think because pain was being a pussy, you're grade A moron again. He did it so he would have time to gather information.

As for Akatsuki going all out for it, wasn't it mentioned that the others were required to extract the other bijuu? Regardless of which, technically, Pain won. Naruto was also weak enough that Konan would have been able to defeat him. Akatsuki won. But the battle didn't decide the win, the war did. Naruto's ability to repress hate impressed Pain. The revival thing was essentially a gift and an affirmation of Naruto being the one to continue Jiraiya's dream. The revival wasn't necessary.

It wasn't repayment. You can possibly argue atonement, but not for Konoha, it was for Jiraiya.
It's not a "oops sorry I flattened your village. Lemme fix it."

The revival had nothing to do with konoha's input. It was all about Jiraiya, Pain(Nagato) and Naruto.
This is your home now. So take advantage of everything here, except me.

Great episode, even for filler, it was much better than last week's, I wish all fillers were like that. Of course, I'm biased since Gaara's one of my favorite character, it could've been him dancing with naked fairies in the woods on a full moon, all episode long and I still would've watched it. :)

Next week's looks pretty bad though. Anyone know how many more fillers we're gonna get?

I just watched 180 and 181 (waiting for 182 to be subbed). The new OP and ED are really likeable. And the animation quality is for fillers actually really good. I'd even say on par with the good episodes when canon. I wish the whole series would be as good. The best would be if they were like the OP/ED ;_;

I must say these fillers are bearable although 181 was at my limit :-\

------------------------------------

Wow, 182 must be the first filler episode that I liked in Naruto! Are they actually trying to think of good stories for the fillers?

True, it does seem like we're getting much better animation quality than we did with The Bubble Man.

The new OP
The new OP is very, very good. I get goosebumps at certain points in it. ;D I also liked their Hologram in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood so not that weird.

A while = looking at ANN for episode titles, it seems we have filler episodes at least until Christmas. If we go by the usual anime seasons, I'd guess we get off the fillers January 6th.

Oh well, it was pretty much meant to happen since we only had 8 filler eps last time. Just a shame the fillers are not maintaining their initial quality. It seems they're getting worse by the episode.

EDIT: I stand corrected. This week's episode was pretty good. And next week looks somewhat interesting involving Naruto training to repel Genjutsu.

I tried to watch this week's episode with the Rock Lee replacement, but I just couldn't do it.  I had to hit fast forward..  I do think the breaking the ninjutusu episode will be good though.

^WOW...:o ... speechless.

Actually I stopped watching the anime because of endless filler episodes.
But seeing that picture now makes me feel I've missed something essential.

Is this out of the current episode?

I mean... WOW ...  just WOW... just ROFL.

That would be 189. There's actually some decent fighting scenes in this one, imo. Cat vs. Ninja. :P
