That would be 189. There's actually some decent fighting scenes in this one, imo. Cat vs. Ninja. :P

the fact that Sakura looked really cute in the cat ears is awesome, and the fact that Sasuke WAS serious all the time was even more funny :)

Just finished watching it... and damn... I laughed so hard. Seeing this makes me want to watch the
anime just for filler-eps like that.

I mean, seriously, what thought crossed the mind of the production company when they first saw that
script?.

I think I died a little inside when Sakura did that. Or maybe I just got indigestion and gas.

apparently most people really like fillers.  check out the poll takafansubs held regarding Naruto filler:  http://www.takafansubs.com/?p=polls&id=21

^Well the question there is "Should we sub filler?" not "Do you like fillers?".  If there is something there to watch, people want to see it. The major tone will always be: "Phillarz suck!" but in case something like EP189 (was the only Naruto-filler-ep I've watched in ages due to the commotion above) happens, people don't wanna miss it.

The fillers are already there, so it can't be helped. ┐( ̄ー ̄)┌

[Edit: @newy ⇩ I liked EP189 :3

Haven't clicked the link but people want the fillers subbed only for the sake of completion and not because they like them.

I knew nothing of the outside world. I was just a frog in a well.

you speak for all or for yourself ?

I like watching fillers as they are part of the anime, so as you often say, stop generalizing.

Sorry for that, wasn't my intention. But I did say "the major tone is...". There are good fillers and there are bad fillers out there. Some of them are funny, some of them are interesting, some of them provide even extra content (those are my personal favorite) and there are fillers that really are just crap. Sadly the majority I've seen these days are the latter. Rarely they are so bad, that i get the feeling, that the people who make them are trying to make me hate them. If a filler contains reasonable content and it contributes to make the show better, I'll be more than happy to welcome it.  ;D

And you think they pick up the "extra" information in fillers in later arcs? No. They will never be mentioned again ever.

It is general consensus that fillers are useless otherwise the anime producers would never have started adapting long running shows. They would have use the idea of the manga series and created their own universe which is then only loosely based on the original script.

I disagree, they do mention filler stuff sometimes. Not as something important, but as something that did happen.
General consensus ?
among who?

Thats also general consensus. However I just said that fillers sometimes and I really mean only sometimes contains interesting additional stuff, even though some underpaid-scriptwriter sucked it out of his fingernails just for this one Ep. It's just not possible that it has any connection to the "real" series.

TL,DR: All I want to say is: If a filler was well made (thought out), it can be enjoyable, though that's rarely the case. ┐( ̄ー ̄)┌

It is general consensus that fillers are useless otherwise the anime producers would never have started adapting long running shows. They would have use the idea of the manga series and created their own universe which is then only loosely based on the original script.
Happens here and there, mostly the outcome is pretty bad though.

[Edit: @ havoc: oops, used the word "general consensus" again. Couldn't resist.  ::). Can't remember seeing such a
series though.]

Dear Havok,

What is general consensus? You? No. Please stop acting as if your words are general consensus. AKA, STFU on this topic you topic derailer.

kk thx.

Foh.

PS: "Among who?" at the very least, you should at least note it's 2v1 at the moment. There's more consensus there already than your pouting.

Did it question my statements? I have it on ignore so I couldn't see its stupidity ;D You need a new quote, foh.

HeinzH, I totally agree with your tl;dr sentence. I even admit that the first few at the beginning of this filler "arc" were surprisingly good but I (like anyone else should) knew that it wouldn't last long.

Well it seems there is at least a little of consensus (yay I used the word again) in here.

As for my part is 0v0.  ;)
