bwahaha u sure have a point there Daedalos but the thing is sasori's poison has been countered by sakura n this time his opponent is Granny who is also his teacher. He surely has improved a lot and that's the reason Granny is so shocked with his performance. But the real sad day would be when emo sasuke will beat Itachi.. if that ever happens that is

well a lot of good match ups are up ahead if things go fast n smooth in shippuuden. They need to stop stretching the eps

yeah. they're up ahead, but it won't be the same again. The art sucked. mono colored. Hope they'll improve it.

i was joyed when they first released shippuuden, Thought the fillers were over and we would be back on track. the first ep would indicate so aswell. but up till know, the last ep was good with the fighting of granny and sakura. but for the rest. the serie has been one big filler arc..again
I totally agree with you.

However, am I the only one who thinks that it's kinda strange that granny and sakura are able to defeat Sasori? I mean Sasori defeated the Sand's strongest Hokage when he was still a child and this happend years ago. Whereas Sakura trained only two years and became this strong. I guess I just feel sorry for Sasori, cause I like him a lot, but I'm sure that he's going to lose to those two "chicks" in the end, as always in "Naruto". The fights sometimes get really boring for me as I have the feeling that the winners are always the good guys (provided that they are main characters).

Well, enough bitching, maybe Sasori won't be defeated in the next episode and he can continue invading countries with his 100 puppet technique happily ever after.

I thought this as well.  Granny Chiyo is a million years old and way past her prime.  Sakura has almost zero battle experience.  It makes no sense that they can defeat Sasori.  Maybe they'll lose in the end, but they shouldn't have even pushed Sasori this far if you think about it.  It's making the Sand Village's greatest Kazekage look like a piece of sh@t.

yeah, but training and fighting for real with your life on the line isn't the same.   Sasori is stronger than Deidara(I think I spelled it right) and Deidara took down Gaara.  Sakura has never fought anyone well other than that blonde haired chick from the original Naruto series and that was a draw.  Also, Sakura has improved A LOT since the original Naruto but everyone else must have improved as well.    So how can we look at everyone else vs. Akatsuki as the good guys being the underdogs when pathetic Sakura is now able to defeat Sasori with the help of a old hag that looks 70 years old.

Well, Granny Chiyo is super old and super battle experienced. She know's pretty much everything about puppets and about being a ninja in general. The only reason she couldn't take on Sasori all on her own is because her body is a piece of wrinkled poo. Well then we've got Sakura on the other side of things. She's in the middle of her prime and she's got a body that's way too strong thanks to Tsuande's training.

It's the best of both worlds: wisdom and strength. I dunno how they couldn't win :P

EDIT: meant to type "win" when i typed "lose" :o

Granny is no amateur and sakura has animal strenght, its a 2 to 1 battle, sasori has underestimated them, the poison has been solved by sakura, blah blah blah, can go on forever.  So why exactly should sasori win?

You have to remember.. without the old hag? to controle and help sakura in MANY places, she would have been long dead.. Granny knew alot about the dolls which Sasori used.. it's like knowing the range of a weapon, you'll have the upper hand. And since useing a doll does not requrie amazing strength, she was jumping around with sakura because she knew the shoot pattern?

It's not as amazing as it really seems :|

I couldnt agree more. He was really a uniq character, and strong for that matter.

I don't hope he will die, maybe somewhere near the end, granny will bend over to her feelings for her grandson and talk sakura into let him live.. it's not like that chick is full of power anymore.. the sword thing gotta hurt :

Well that's that, the cave scene is over and judging from the titles of the next two episodes the arc should end by the third episode at the latest I think.

I just refreshed my memory through the manga and all I've gotta say is that this arc sure as hell better end as beautifully as it does in the manga.

And for those that wondered how an old woman and a little girl could be an Akatsuki, the end explained it if you missed it:

These episodes are considered an entire arc? LOL.

Its funny how they can lower everyone's standards so much with fillers and long drawn out episodes (in which if you actually thought back over the episode, you would realize nothing actually happened) that viewers are actually being satisfied with the quality of the last couple episodes.

seriously, how could sakura have survived training with tsunade if she didn't hold back at all and attacked her with intent to kill?  it makes no sense and is retarded.  the hokage couldn't kill a novice ninja?  it's one of those things everyone here just accepted even though it makes no sense.  don't say tsunade only attacked at 50% of her capability cuz then she's holding back.   i know it's anime and it's not going to be realistic.  shippuuden is so gay I just had to point it out.

I think you're getting mad at the wrong things.  I got the impression that Tsunade was just using most of her strength to attack.  Using pure brute strength to train Sakura without using her speed, techniques, strategies, etc is plausible in my opinion.  Remember how the focus of the training was dodging (because medical ninja shouldn't get hurt)?  It sounds to me like Tsunade was attacking with attacks that would seriously hurt/kill if they connected, in order to help Sakura with her dodging.  Its not a perfect explanation, but it is plausible as far as these shows go.  Remember, it still just a shounen series.  Remember how many times Naruto (and others) have gotten beaten up and seemed destined to lose, only to have some revelation about friends/family/etc and then have a miraculous victory.  There will always be that type of thing in Naruto.  It's that type of anime.  You just have to take it with a grain of salt (or bottle of vodka).

That said, you should be mad at how the writers and animators are sitting around laughing at all the people who keep watching.  They can put in a fifth of the effort on an episode compared to the average anime, and it is STILL the most popular anime running right now.

Attacking with killing intent means that they're using their full strength in each attack. But a master can be using their full strength doing basic moves.

There are plenty of times in many different mangas and animes where a superior trains their underling and uses "killing intent" or doesn't hold back their strength. It doesn't mean the superiors are using everything they've got against the underling, it just means that the few moves they do end up using on the underling are full on.

Also a quick question

A few times during the whole Sasori fight, Sakura said something that was translated into "Hell yeah!" by DB when she was about to punch something ridiculous. I couldn't really hear the phrase clearly so I was wondering if anyone know what it was she actually said.

It sounded sort of like "O-Nara!" to me but that definitely doesn't mean anything close to "Hell yeah!" >.<
