I think the show is going in the right direction, and Sasory vs Sakura granny was a good fight, very entertaining, although they spent too much time in it. The pace keeps shipuuden behind the original, which is a shame.

I think they are gonna keep it like this for a while. Probably they are waiting manga to cover a lot more.

maybe after the manga is 500 volumes ahead the pace will pick up a bit. everyone I know that was a fan of the original Naruto(non-filler) thinks shippuuden sucks balls. i don't know anyone that thinks it's good. it's the worst anime I've ever sat through 27 episodes of. I usually bail on crap like this after only a few episodes cause odds are it's not going to get better. shippuuden is going to be crap the whole way through. we all just keep watching it to get to sasuke which will probably be a let down. this will be my last negative post about naruto I promise. however, how many posts would this thread have if you took out all the negative ones?

Luckily, if they follow the storyline correctly, even if slowly, it'd be impossible for them to waste time on the Team Gai fights

However, I think it's still possible for them to waste up to 3 or more episodes on the Naruto and Kakashi split-story that has already wasted plenty of good time, though they could also easily wrap up said split-story in one episode if they wanted to...if they wanted to.....

If they wanted to they probably could have ended this arc 3 episodes ago as well.

In response to all these manga spoilers. If any of you anime onlys' are expecting to see these spoilers come to fruition any time soon you're in for dissapointment. There's a great deal of storyline for the anime to catch up on now.

This is good of course, but only if they decide to pick up the pace a lil more with each episode.

BTW: What kind of non-manga spoiler qualifies as a spoiler anyway? Once it airs on an episode isn't it no longer spoiler? Aren't all spoilers manga spoilers?

Since this is the Naruto Shipp episode discussion thread all current episodes are fair game for discussion. Same goes for the other anime discussion threads. The only thing that may be considered a minor spoiler is talking about the previews for the next episode...but they really don't show much anyway.
