waiting for shippuuden to pick up the pace and get good is like waiting for our president to admit the iraq war is a mistake. it's not gonna happen. how many anime's have you seen suddenly get better after 28 mostly mediocre and some purely crap episodes.

This week's "special" had many low quality animation shots. :/

Also half of the episode was Kakashi staring into the sky :/

its moving WAY TOO FUCKING SLOW....at this rate even without the fillers it could possible annihilate poke'mon episodes in quantity (and i'm including every remake and new version to ever come out)

What the hell . I thought episode 28 was bad but this was so fucking worst ever !!! . The story is great love naruto reaction to gaara's dead but they need to fire the Director and the Art director fast. Why does the animation have to look so crappy they make tons of money on the show and still hire crappy animators fuck that . And then we had to wait 3 weeks of the next episode , ill tell you now it will suck so bad it will make you eyes bleed . Why because they only have 3 pages of manga left till the next Arc. Pfff Im not one to bitch about the good old days but hell , fuck Naruto Shippūden. I love the manga at the moment even more then the One piece manga and i am a BIG One Piece fan. But i am sad to say Naruto Shippūden your death to me.

This show became a joke 3 months ago, so I wouldn't consider myself angry at the lack of good episodes. The last episode could have been cooler if Kakashi didn't take 5 minutes to hit his dimension attack....but he did. I also find it funny that it took Naruto and Kakashi like 10 episodes to catch up to Deidara and it only took an injured Sakura and Granny Chiyo 5 minutes.

Naruto has become another DBZ. I'm seriously considering just to stop watching it until it's finished or there are at least a good amount of episodes out I can watch in a row.

Like that'll happen. Besides stretching out the story they now air like every other week now.

Next episode airs on 10/18, which is 3 weeks away lol. It's like the directors think they're getting close to the manga or something...it's nowhere near close I'm told.

the highpoint of the show was the first five minutes of the first episode. everything afterwards has been crap. my expectations have been so lowered that I actually considered that a good episode. a good episode for shippuuden that is.

The Bleach anime is way closer to it's manga than the Naruto anime is to it's manga. The Bleach anime is 53 mangas behind and the Naruto anime is 92 mangas behind.

The last Bleach episode consumed exactly 2 mangas. The last 1 hour Naruto special consumed 2 and 8/9ths of a manga.

Now lets talk about wasting anime time. A standard Naruto manga is 18 pages per chapter. Not including the intro and closing songs, a standard Naruto anime is about 18 minutes. So then if the anime consumed mangas at the decent pace of 2 mangas per anime chapter, each page of a naruto manga would count as 30 seconds.

Team Gai's fight:
Team Gai's fight with their clones took up only 5 and 1/3 manga pages. That means that the anime should have only used 2 minutes and 40 seconds to depict their battles. (30 seconds times 5 & 1/3) I'm not gonna watch all the old eps to count how many minutes it actually took, but it definitely was tons more than 2 minutes and 40 seconds.

Kakashi and Naruto's chase:
The Kakashi and Naruto chase took a few more pages. Up to the point where the last episode began. It took about 13-14 pages of the manga. So that's only 7 minutes that it should've taken. I think we all know that a lot more than 7 minutes of the anime was devoured in past episodes.

Kakashi and his ghetto eye technique:
Sadly, because of the nature of the story with Kakashi's eye attack, it took 12 pages to get from the point where he said "Mangekyo Sharingan" to the point where the bird head was on the branch. It took 6.25 minutes for it to happen in the anime so it comes out even. However not every manga page should justifiable take 30 seconds to act out, 30 seconds is just a piece of math. The 12 pages it took for Kakashi to mess around with his eye definitely shouldn't have taken 6.25 minutes.

Despite this formality, Team Gai still cannot ever be forgiven for the attrocities they have caused in the anime.

Anyone else just not like Tenten? IMO she's weak, boring, and almost annoying to watch at times. Her style of fighting just screams no skill and her being on a powerhouse team with Lee and Neiji makes it even more obvious IMO. From what I can tell, she's only useful while supporting another in battle.

I'm still waiting to see all the development of the other characters. Am I the only one thats pissed off that it's been 30 eps and we still haven't seen the progress of nearly half or more of the other characters in the show?

Yeah same here. I still wanna see how Kiba, Shikamaru, Chouji, Hinata, Shino, and Ino have improved. I have a feeling we've still got a long way to go to see these things though.

na DBZ had style, was slow but had style...Naruto is just bullcrap since the fillers, quality and story whise.

+1....at least the episodes that were drawn out were semi-enjoyable.....Naruto is moving at a snail's pace....even one piece manga is closer to the anime than Naruto. thats just bad.
