my father watched speed racer growing up and developed a love for cars, then felt the need to show it to me as I was growing up...but I only really watched that to shut him up, the first anime that I sought on my own was golden boy and then shortly thereafter class mates got me hooked on Neon Genesis Evangelion...we would all take turn renting the disks as they were released stateside....god I feel old now

My first anime was Pokemon. It used to come on before I went to school every morning and I'd watch it every day.
