I guess it was To Love Ru (not counting some AMVs I stumbled upon even before knowing what anime and manga meant) - while the episodes were downloading I read the manga lol.

Sailor Moon. At the time it looked like some silly show that my sister liked, but eventually I came to like it and found other shows via Toonami, my interest mostly launching off with Dragon Ball. Then Pokemania hit and I was done for.

My tastes have... evolved since then.

Pokemon but i seriously consider that as not much of an anime. It didn't expand my interest in the genre. For that i would say Clannad.

Sailor Moon, while still in kindergarten I'm pretty sure. On another note, others' tastes were shitty (apparently even Batman was "too violent").

Umm, besides sometimes watching pokemon or dragon ball on TV as a kid, first time I properly watched anime was when a friend suggested Miyazaki when I was looking for good animation in general since I was gettin sick of Disney lol.

That started a chain reaction when I realised that there was such quality animation coming out of Japan. Then the first show I watched was Death Note, then Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood.

Seriously, I watched that when I was really young (around 4 - 5), I think it was on VHS tapes rented from a shop.

When I was young I watched transformers on TV but the first anime I probably watched as an adult would most likely be witchblade, although I could be wrong. Don't have the best memory, lol

You know what, it was probably actually Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland that came first, actually. I had that movie on VHS in the early '90s and watched it... so many times. Had no idea what "anime" was back then, but this movie and its accompanying NES game enthralled me.

...Hm, maybe I need to revisit that sometime.

First anime I ever watched was FLCL.

I have never seen a full episode of pokemon, dragon ball, or any of the stuff I should've commonly seen as a kid on TV.
