The first anime I ever saw was actually Naruto. After catching up to where Naruto was then (episode-wise) I watched Fullmetal Alchemist, and after finishing FMA I got into Bleach.

I might add that the only one of these three shows that holds a spot in my anime top 10-list today is FMA, but I still visit dattebayo.com every week to grab Shippuuden and Bleach

Mine would have to be "Vampire hunter D", back when I was a weeee' little menda, on sci-fi. Didnt know what was going on, but I thought it was pretty neat to have so much blood in a cartoon,

. (Think, a kid in his single digits, goes from the loony toons, to people getting pieces chopped off. I think I handled it pretty well, haha!)

I think the first anime I ever watched was Dragon Ball Z, but it's been so long that I can't really remember correctly. It was either DBZ or Evangelion, and I wish I could remember.

Like that show, but too long and got really tired of waiting for new episode in Adult Swim, and when they actual show a new one its just a sub episode. Don't get me wrong Inu Yasha is good.

First anime I ever watched was way back in the day. I was real young, I was 3 to 4 years old as the series was released in the U.S. in 1984. It was Macross a.k.a. Robotech. I loved the transforming planes, as a kid they rocked my face off and I desperately wanted one for a toy, but my parents wouldn't get me one. I believe though that Starscream from Transformers was just a rip-off of a Macross VF-1 Valkyrie, which I also wanted but never got. Anyways that was the first anime I ever remember seeing (it was probably the first) I didn't really get into anime until later in my life though back in like 92' or 93' when I watch Project A-ko on the Sci-Fi channel back when they used to run those anime movie marathons.

Definitely Speed Racer was my first anime! I recall watching in the mornings right before going off to school.
I'd still rather own the Batmobile just because it's 10x cooler than the Mach 5. lol

The best time for me was during the "japanimation" years when Battle Of The Planets, Star Blazers, and Robotech originally aired...and Macron 1, Galaxy Express 999, plus Space Pirate Captain Harlock.

what got me interested in anime style was robotech as i new it then ie macross and im not shure if the original series of transformers counts. then a big big gap in 2000 ish trigun got me started again.

My first Anime I saw was propably Moomis when I was like 2 years old. It's every finnish kids first anime since it's been airing in Finland for about 20 years now. Maybe because the person who wrote the story, books and magazines is a famous finnish writer Tove Jansson.

Totoro, then Laputa: City in the Sky, Kiki's Delivery Service, Nausiica, Mazinger, and Ranma. I still have the videos that a friend gave me with those movies on it.

Mine was the ova series for giant robo, was definatly interesting. Though it was hard to grasp it's concpets at 6.
