My first anime was Blood+. I totally fell for it. It`s my favourite anime. Now I`am addicted to anime.

hmm, I think the first serise I seen was Tenchi Muyo. Didn't have cable and access to Anime in my town until about 1996 :'(

Ninja Scroll the very day it came out on VHS (my brother had been waiting for it ever since he saw Wrath of the Ninja). The first series would be Fist of the Northstar, not long after.

I've forgotten which is my 1st anime, honest!
At that age, I'm surrounded with Doraemon, Tetsuwan Atom, Unico, Ashita no Joe, Tiger Mask,
Saint Seiya, Dragonball, Hokuto no Ken, Kinnikuman, Wataru, bra bra bra, etc.
I'm confused which is my 1st.

My first anime that I saw was either "Science Ninja Team Gatchaman" or "Bubble Gum Crisis". Gatchaman came on subbed regularly every monday on a Sat. channel back in the mid 80s and they showed movies as well, I don't remember which I saw first.

Not counting DragonBall Z, Gundam Wing was the first I ever saw (Dubbed on YTV). First fansub I got was Escaflowne.

the first anime i ever saw was probably Speed Racer. i was in kindergarten then.
the first anime that i ever followed really was gundam wing back when it was on toonami way back when. i also remember watching escaflowne back then too.

but the first anime that got me hooked to anime was Cowboy Bebop. it was the start of my anime love and i still love it today.

Wow, I tottaly forgot about speed racer. I watched that as a kid. Thought it was a cartoon and not anime though.

My first conscious decision to watch "anime" was Escaflowne.

mine was Belle and Sabastian- I remeber watching it either on the disney channel or nickelodean when I was in elementary school- anime back then was really hevily influenced by Disney back then so I didn't even know it was anime- I didn't even know what anime was (6 years old). The other day I was on AnimeDB and saw it listed and I was like...that was anime ? weird!

I remember seeing Nausica in the valley of the wind with my brother and thinking it was pretty awesome- I still didn't know anything about anime yet (still in elementary school)

Transformers I watched.

When I rediscovered anime I was in college and I saw Cowboy Bebop- which was good- but I didn't become hooked on anime until I saw Inuyasha- after seeing to episodes on tv I promptly went on a hunt to find them all before I found a good source for them and learned all about bittorrent and irc I actually even bought some...man that was like four years ago. So in my heart Inuyasha will always be my first...

Naruto, Fruitsbasket, Chrono Crusade, Escaflowne, FMA, and 12 kingdoms sealed the deal

The first anime I ever saw was Sailor Moon, on TV! Then I wanted to download the episodes on the internet, so I think the first ever subbed anime I saw was Sailor Moon as well, soon followed by Rurouni Kenshin and Marmelade Boy, all in Real Media format... I don't even want to remember how bad the quality was >_<

I also remember watching Sailor Moon in japanese for the first time, I thought it was weird since I was used to watching it on TV in english... But now, I realize it's the english dubs that are weird ^_^

after that i sometimes had the opportunity to whatch "saber rider" at my grandma's
and after that i whatched "samurai pizza cats" every saturday...

think i was around 10 back then... (or even younger)

can't really remember what the first ova or movies were...

It would have been either Voltron, or possibly one of the many anime children's shows they ran on Nickelodeon in the 80s (before they started producing their own shows, pretty much everything on that channel was either Japanese or Canadian).

The first anime I saw that I actually knew was anime was Speed Racer, back when MTV would run episodes of it. I didn't actually start downloading fansubs until I saw an episode of FLCL on Adult Swim and couldn't wait another day to see the rest of it.
