I discovered the related function not so long ago and I use it to find shows I feel in the mood of. Today, I checked the related for ef ~ A Tale of Memories and the results confused me - a lot:

• Toradora! [DSX][1280x720][h.264]
• Maria†Holic | [h264] [gg | ggcaust]
• ef - tale of melodies [Menclave]
• Kannagi [SHiN-gx & Genjo] [H264] [720p]
• Myself Yourself [B-G & m.3.3.w] [H264] [DVD]
• Koihime Musou [DVD h264]
• Bounen no Xamdou [YSOSRS][720p]
• Asura Cryin [1280x720 H.264 AAC] [Chihiro]
• Asu no Yoichi [WS][h264] [Chihiro]
• Akikan [h264] [Chihiro]

Toradora! and ef ~ A Tale of Melodies were obvious suggestions. Myself;Yourself is also very fitting. I don't think Bounen no Xamdou has anything to do with ef but, whatever, no system is perfect; it just checks the most downloaded items from those who downloaded that torrent so that's just bound to happen.

However, how in hell did aberrations like Akikan, Asu no Yoichi and Asura Cryin' ended up there?

I know all four shows were picked up by Chihiro but, seriously?

Depends on the person really, we have people with good and bad teeth just like you do. I've never got that stereotype... My teeth are perfectly normal. 0_o

Well not every person will watch the same sort of show, so it can get a bit weird (just like 'people who bought this also bought' on Amazon).

I use it to keep track of torrents I want to download when I get my ratio up a bit more.

+1 also.. my memory is so damn weak that I forgot straightly what anime I had to download.. So it helps me a lot
