^^^^If I have both good physical impression and, uh, behavior impression then that's all the better.
There's a cultural belief in Korea that explains our great interest in a person's height.
In Korea where the aborigine was inherently diminutive, tallness was usually associated with good child nurturing - good nourishment, good sleep, (less labor) and vitamin sort of stuff.
This nurturing is also expected to improve the child's psychological health, spiritual health, etc.
And it also adds up to the family's social prestige; more wealth that could provide better standard of living more conducive for child growth, which could be indicative of better successes in the future.
Of course we know just diligently giving good food and vitamins won't determine the whole of person's, eh, 'quality', and that genes too are associated with person's height/psychological health and whatnot, but the belief held on.
