It might be worth noting that the Blues only go up to 750GB in storage space. Not exactly an optimal storage capacity if you're looking to minimise the number of drives used for storage. (Assuming you have that much to store, of course.)

The main advantage the Blue has over the Green (I just got lazy to type 'WD Caviar' after some time) is lower access latency; actual throughput varies quite a bit depending on lots of factors (disk model, number/density of platters, blahblah).

To illustrate, here's graphs showing the 1.5TB Green besting the 500GB Blue in read throughput.

They're only part of the story though. Of course, those graphs were intentionally picked for effect; for more details do your own googling or make a post in Technology.

i know what you mean, my desktop is only 3 1/2 years old. I am thinking with in the next 12 months is a good time to up grade, as windows 7 is looking good and why not have a new computer to go with your new OS

Excluding the monitor, yeah.

Go for desktop if you don't strictly need a mobile computer.

See I would be after nearly the hole rig i could probably reuse the Graphics card as its not to bad. though i would not mind a completely new computer either. So i could move this one into the lounge room and uses it as a media server.

Or you could have both, like I do. Desktop for games and encoding, laptop for uni work and general use.

Monitors are cheap these day, 1080 widescreen 23inch is like $300 now. First thing I'm buying when I get a job, my 17inch analog non-widescreen monitor just doesn't cut it anymore.

So, was going to the airport to drop my Mom off. When we arrived at the entrance, I noticed a bunch of flares on the road cutting the entrance lanes down to 4 lanes. Long line. So fun. Finally reached the entrance and noticed all the broken glass, skid marks, and an overturned booth (the toll booth). Once we went through, I then saw the Porsche SUV upside-down and mangled. Apparently, this person never slowed down from freeway speeds, hit the concrete barrier in front of the booth, then hit the booth (I was amazed the booth didn't look damaged, other than the fact it was on its side), slammed into the roof/overhang above the booths, and then skid on the roof of the vehicle for about 20 meters.

I was so shocked I didn't even think to record a video with my phone. I still feel a bit

Having a cleaning morning before I settle down to make poster after poster for uni. Cleaned the fish tank out and done most of the dishes so far. Putting away about a months worth of clothes now...

At least that's a partially interesting piece of text, if you had of done the texts I did in high school, you would shoot yourself in the head because they were so boring and pointless.

There is just so many ideas and feelings you can guess a poet/writer is trying to convey in a text before you are just making shit up.

I hope your talking about the Odyssey as in the poem otherwise this post doesnt make sense

Yay! Finally found a media player for mac that'll play K ON!. Even if it does miss out the intro and ending, at least it doesn't freeze or try and play the first 3 minutes over and over.
