I've been scrubbing Wikipedia. (editing not reading) And check the first thread you see in politics childboard now; I've got a lot of Japanese goodies hoarded in there.
* kureshii notes to himself to never look to Wikipedia for political/military information.

Wait ... You actually look to wiki for reliable info?

I didn't edit anything politics-related so far btw. Only military and economics.

I was having a conversation about something relative earlier ... Do you think economists enjoy their field, or, maybe, did they simply become so aggravated by the current state of affairs that they decided to make a career of it?

Politics, as a whole, is so entropic and redundant.  lol

I believe for most economists it's the latter reason.

However there are always unique cases too. My father likes his job because of the former reason - he enjoys his fields. (political science, education, and business administration)

Oh and my mom too, hehe... she's a Protestant church worker. (she doesn't tell me her 'position') She likes her 'field' too.

Actually I think the reasons are already self-defeating. If economists enjoy their field, it's because current state of affairs are so dynamic that it makes their works more interesting. When they have an interesting career they start to enjoy it also.

I was of the opinion that they must simply have a goal in mind for a more idealistic economy.

Meh, I couldn't do it.  So, I guess any rationalizations I purport are irrelevant.

Shopping during the holidays sucks.  Shopping is actually enjoyable when there aren't 500 people in a shop designed for 50.  :P

I usually check their citations to see if the info is reliable; i.e. I just use it as a starting point for info. But if it's been tainted like that... I'd rather just not even look to it at all.

Shopping online FTW \o/

Shopping online won't get me silver card by Monday :P

I'm avoiding the main part of town as best I can this weekend. We went to the Christmas market last year and its that crowded that they have to put one way systems in. And Steep Hill has lots of paramedics around incase anyone collapses on the way up. Lol.

I was just joking around, kureshii.

I'm currently looking at your anime list (anime-planet), trying to decide what's appealing for a girl.  I just downloaded all episodes of Candy Boy, sounds fun. ^.^

I have so much more anime I want to download, but I don't have the space on my HD to get the 60gb off my seedbox right now... and don't have the money to afford a bigger HD yet. Damned Christmas is too expensive

Candy Boy is really cute; too bad it was so short! :(

I generally try to avoid downtown too, but especially during holiday season. I'm thin enough to be able to squeeze through crowds easily, but I still don't like having to squeeze >_<

More importantly, consumer holidays are too expensive when you are a student.  :'(

Yeah they are D:

Another reason I shop online: very little stuff is made locally (we don't have any natural resources so everything has to be imported anyway), so prices of electronics tend to be somewhat high in retail. I generally get better prices online, even after factoring shipping costs.

Yeah, good thing cellphones were invented. Often I'd just arrange to meet my friends wherever we were planning to meet (at dinner, movie etc), makes it easier oozing through the crowd.

Or maybe dark lives in my garage and I lock him up when I go on holidays.

^There aren't normally in Lincoln. But for some bizaare reason people flock from all over the country for the Christmas market. Its the only time of the year we see trains with more than 2 carriages come through the station 0_o
