Try doing what a friend of mine does; turn off the console. but in your case give him a clear warning in order to let him save before you hit the 'off' button. I'd be super upset if i lost hours of work, so i imagine he'd feel the same =P

btw out of curiosity what game has he picked up that snatched him away from u?
