hmm I would be quite interested in the new nvidia gfx cards, though only out of curiosity since I just got a new card. Anyone know if there is a new amd cpu coming out soon, to say rival the i7's?

To actually "rival" the i7? AMD needs throw away the Phenoms and rebuild everything entirely.

Hrmz... I need to find a program to properly extract AAC files.  For some reason, all the software I've tried extracts the AAC at half the khz it was encoded.

Puzzling  :-\

Considering the level of R&D Intel now implements for Mac development, I think that AMD will be left behind for quite some time.

A motherboard with 1366 socket is the best thing to have for long-term upgrade potential.  When Intel releases the i9, it will drop right into the same socket as the current i7's. 

Personally, I'm just waiting for the i9 release so I can get a cheap 950 after the price drop.  ^.^

Pah. I just really wish I hadn't wasted so much time with him now. And I'm stuck in this house for another 6 months with him and him alone, before he goes to London and leaves me. I've just become an after thought and I'm worth more than that.

Bulldozer isn't due until 2011, last I heard. Until then, maybe expect a few new Phenom IIs or something.

And Nvidia's been really slow with Fermi...
